The Wheeler County District Attorney is Gretchen Ladd.



The District Attorney prosecutes cases in three courts - Oregon State Circuit Court, Fossil Justice Court, and Mitchell Justice Court. The variety of cases fills the spectrum of criminal law.



The Office also handles cases in Juvenile Court, conducts meetings for the Multi-Disciplinary Team on Child Abuse, assists and advises the employees of the Sheriff's Office, works with the Oregon State Police in the region of North Central Oregon, and is active on committees and projects in the entire community of Wheeler County.

Questions and comments are always welcome in the DA's Office in the Courthouse. Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed for lunch), Monday through Friday. Gretchen has an open-door policy at all times, so please call the office or stop in anytime.
