Glover Memorial Community Center aka Glover Fitness Forever is a facility in downtown Fossil that rivals gym facilities in the big cities.

 

This gym started with a desire of the community and surrounding areas to improve health.  Exercise classes and nutrition classes were started with the cooperation of Asher Clinic.  These soon became so popular that a major television show found out about the grassroots effort and featured the project on national television.  The local American Legion Post had decided to disband and offered a building to Wheeler County to use as a gym.  Next a local rancher, who had connections to the fitness industry, offered to donate equipment and a real gym was born.

 

 

Today anyone can join for $30.00 per month for an individual, $45.00 for a family,  and use all the available exercise equipment and videos.   The mission of this facility is to improve health whether you are a young person or a senior citizen.  Therefore, the name Glover Fitness Forever was created.
